Classes are currently open for registration for all 6 weeks of the season. All classes are being offered during all of the weeks.

Due to the current Pandemic situation, one or more weeks of classes may be cancelled.  We will not invoice for classes until we are reasonably sure that the class can be held. Please review our Covid-19 Safety Measures.

Before registering, please review our  waiver forms and emergency contact information form on our TLSS Waivers and Emergency Contact Forms page. These forms will be required to be completed in order to begin any of our classes.

Important Dates:

Private lessons will be available starting June 15. Please submit your registration using the form below. You will be contacted by the instructor to schedule your lesson.

Note: During the week of August 3, we will be offering Private Lessons only.

  • Week 1: June 29-July 2. Registration deadline June 26. Payment deadline June 28.
  • Week 2: July 6-10. Registration deadline July 3. Payment deadline July 5.
  • Week 3: July 13-17. Registration deadline July 10. Payment deadline July 12.
  • Week 4: July 20-24. Registration deadline July 17. Payment deadline July 19.
  • Week 5: July 27-31. Registration deadline July 24. Payment deadline July 26.
  • Week 6: August 10-14. Registration deadline August 7. Payment deadline August 9.

NOTE: Payment must be received by the deadline or the student will not be included in the requested class.

To register: Please complete the form below. Once your registration has been accepted, you will be sent an invoice to the email provided during registration. Payment will be due prior to the start of class. To insure your spot in a class, please register no later than the Friday prior to the week of the class.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: We do not cancel classes for weather, so no refunds will be offered based on weather. If you cancel your registration, you will be refunded your fees, minus the fees charged by PayPal.  This will vary based on the amount of your payment. Any request to cancel your registration in a class must be received before the class registration deadline.

Waiting Lists: If a class is full, your will be notified that you have been placed on a waiting list. You can then either sign up for a different class or wait to see if you will be added. We will make every effort to accommodate your requests.


2020 TLSS CLASS OFFERINGS


Explorers: (2 days a week; 1 hour) – $30/week

  •  First time on the water, ages 5+
  •  Bfly, Opti, BIC, MC
  • Taking rides with instructors – minimal to no solo sailing
  • Curriculum: water safety, sailing terminology, parts of boat, etiquette, sportsmanship

Class time: 11:30am-12:30pm (unless otherwise noted; changes will be posted on TLSS website)

Dates:

    • Week 1: Monday, June 29 & Wednesday, July 1
    • Week 2: Wednesday, July 7 & Friday, July 10
    • Week 3: Wednesday, July 15 & Friday, July 17
    • Week 4: Wednesday, July 22 & Friday, 24
    • Week 5: Wednesday, July 29 & Friday, July 31

Youth Learn To Sail: (4 days/week) – $120/week

Youth Learn to Sail Level 1 (YLTS 1):

  • Ages 7+ (or with instructor permission)
  • Opti
  • Curriculum: Explorer curriculum + work tiller and mainsheet; wind direction/no-go zone;  preparation/rigging/de-rigging

Youth Learn to Sail Level 2 (YLTS 2):

  • Ages 7+
  • Pre-requisite pass YLTS 1 or with instructor permission
  • Opti/ BIC/Bfly
  • Curriculum: YLTS Level 1 curriculum + Use of sail controls, learn how to dock/beach; able to solo and round a mark

NOTE: Students will be assigned to level 1 or level 2 based on their previous experience and skills.

Class time: 9:00am (instructor will confirm class start time prior to first class)

Dates:

    • Week 1: Monday, June 29 -Thursday, July 2
    • Week 2: Tuesday, July 7 – Friday, July 10
    • Week 3: Tuesday, July 14 – Friday, July 17
    • Week 4: Tuesday, July 21 – Friday, July 24
    • Week 5: Tuesday, July 28 – Friday, July 31

Teen/Adult Learn to Sail: (2 days/week; 2 hours) – cost $80/week

Teen/Adult Learn to Sail Level 1 (TALTS 1):

  • Ages 12+
  • Bfly, Laser, MC, other
  • Curriculum: work tiller and mainsheet; wind direction/no-go zone; preparation/rigging/de-rigging water safety, sailing terminology, parts of boat, etiquette, sportsmanship

Teen/Adult Learn to Sail Level 2 (TALTS 1):

  • Ages 12+
  • Level 1 Curriculum passed; Learn basics of racing
  • Bfly, Laser, MC
  • Curriculum: Teen/Adult LTS Level 1 curriculum + Use of sail controls; able to solo and round a mark; basic racing skill

NOTE: Students will be assigned to level 1 or level 2 based on their previous experience and skills.

Class time: 11:30am-1:30pm (unless otherwise noted; changes will be posted on TLSS website)

Dates:

    • Week 1: Tuesday, June 29 & Thursday, July 2
    • Week 2: Tuesday, July 7 & Thursday, July 9
    • Week 3: Tuesday, July 14 & Thursday, July 16
    • Week 4: Tuesday, July 21 & Thursday, July 23
    • Week 5: Tuesday, July 28 & Thursday, July 30

Private Lessons: based upon instructor availability – $40/hour per person

  • Owner’s boat or use club boats (Opti, BIC, Bfly, Melges17)
  • Great option for learning to CREW!
  • Small groups can be scheduled upon request
  • Specify the date(s) desired and describe what you would like to accomplish in your lesson.
  • Instructor will contact you to schedule your lesson.
